In Texarkana, Texas, a police officer named Travis Frost was dispatched to respond to a call about a “vicious” pit bull on the loose in a local neighborhood. Naturally, Officer Frost was on high alert, expecting to encounter a dangerous and unpredictable animal. However, when he arrived at the scene, he found a pit bull sitting calmly on someone’s porch. To be safe, Frost left his car door open in case the dog tried to attack. But to his surprise, the pit bull walked right up to him and hopped in his police car!

Amazed by the dog’s friendly and sociable behavior, Frost took some photos with him before getting to work finding the dog’s owner. Thanks to the pit bull’s microchip, the police were able to reunite him with his family. The dog’s name was Gold, and he was a sweet and loving pup who had simply wandered off from home.

Officer Frost hopes that this heartwarming story will help change people’s negative perceptions of pit bulls. Despite their reputation for being aggressive and dangerous, pit bulls can be just as friendly and loving as any other breed of dog. “While you should always be careful around any dog that you don’t know, you shouldn’t automatically assume that all pit bulls are bad dogs,” Frost said. “They might be really loving like this guy was this morning.”
