When the compassionate team at Twenty Paws Rescue arrived in Brooklyn, New York, to rescue him, Tyson was so shattered that he crawled into his crate and refused to come out. The trauma of losing his owner had taken a significant toll on him.
Diagnosed with anemia and a “broken heart,” Tyson withdrew, refusing to eat or socialize with other dogs. He found solace in his crate, needing time to heal his emotional wounds.
The turning point in Tyson’s life came when he met Laura, a dedicated dog lover and volunteer with a heart full of compassion. As his foster mom, Laura offered Tyson patience and a gentle touch. She patiently coaxed him out of his shell and, over time, nurtured him back to health.
