How a New Puppy Helped a Depressed Dog Overcome His Grief
Wyatt was a sensitive dog. When his beloved doggy sister passed away, he spiraled into a deep depression. He mourned the loss so much that he hid in the closet, unsure what to do with himself. It broke his mama’s heart.
Linda decided that adopting another dog may help Wyatt. They drove three hours to meet a puppy named Lenny to see if he and Wyatt were a good match. When Lenny came out of his kennel, the dogs’ connection was instant. As Linda puts it, Lenny was “a ray of sunshine.”
Meeting one another was the best medicine for Wyatt. His sulking turned into pure joy! Lenny was so happy to be out of the shelter and in his new home, and Wyatt couldn’t wait to show his new little brother his toys. The pups went straight into a play session that put a smile on Linda’s face. Their bond is so beautiful to see!
