Donations poured in, and Bret’s family used the funds not only for Charlie’s recovery but also to support other animal charities. They even created a new initiative, “Charlie’s Angels,” to aid other rescued animals.
Although Bret initially intended to find Charlie a new home, the bond they shared made it impossible to let her go. Charlie became a permanent member of their family, inspiring them to adopt three more rescue dogs.
