When adopting a dog, it’s crucial to consider ethical breeders to ensure the dog’s well-being. Unfortunately, some breeders prioritize appearance over health, leading to severe deformities and medical problems in dogs, like Myskia, a French bulldog rescued by Lucky Tales Rescue in Kentucky and Ohio.

Myskia’s breeder aimed to create a “gremlin look” for her, resulting in severe health issues due to inbreeding. Abandoned and suffering from congenital deformities, Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome, aspirational pneumonia, and suspected Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, she was fighting for her life.
Although an animal hospital suggested euthanasia, Lucky Tails Rescue was determined to save her. Despite a reported $10,000 in medical bills, Myskia, now known as “Gremlin,” underwent surgery to improve her breathing and is thriving in foster care.

Gremlin’s story highlights the importance of ethical breeding practices and responsible pet adoption. Share this story to raise awareness about the consequences of unethical breeding and inspire support for rescue organizations like Lucky Tails.
