Animal Aid Unlimited rescuers showed up to find an injured dog hiding in the brush. She cried out for help with a large wound around her neck. The stray wouldn’t let them pick her up, instead, she jumped into the ambulance all by herself!

They got her back to the hospital to thoroughly clean the wound and provide treatment. And then, she would need lots of rest. The dog had a big appetite, but during week four she started to fall ill…

The sweet girl needed love and affection to speed up her recovery, and it did the trick.

They named her Aatifa, meaning “affection” which is what she lives for–to give and receive! See how she’s doing today in the video below.
