More than just a toy, the plush companion served as a link to her past home as she found herself under the care of San Antonio Animal Care Services. Luna’s upbeat demeanor was a stark contrast to the underlying stress she felt in the new environment.
Lisa Norwood, the shelter’s public relations manager, noticed Luna’s deep attachment to the bear. “She carries that teddy bear everywhere,” Lisa shared in a video, emphasizing its role as an emotional support anchor, emanating the familiar scent of home for Luna.

Luna’s trajectory shifted positively when she and her cherished teddy bear found refuge in the caring arms of Vermont English Bulldog Rescue.
