Java, a heavily pregnant Boxer, was left behind in the backyard of a rental property when her family moved away. The property owner discovered her in poor condition, with signs of starvation, dehydration, and illness. When contacted, the previous family was unhelpful, leaving Java in dire need of assistance.
Fortunately, the property owner contacted a nearby rescue for help, but they were at maximum capacity and unable to take Java in. Later, at the vet’s office, it was discovered that Java was expecting puppies. However, due to her high level of stress, she was not able to give birth at that moment.
As Java desperately prayed for a miracle, Karen, a woman from “Lost Pet Found Pet,” heard about her and quickly came to her aid. Karen used her connections to find Java boarding at Nob Hill Animal Clinic in Plantation, where she finally felt secure. Just a few hours later, Java gave birth to a litter of 9 puppies!
Later that day, Java and her puppies were transferred to the care of “Florida Boxer Rescue,” where she received treatment for various infections, intestinal parasites, and fleas due to neglect from her previous owners. Despite her poor health, Java lovingly raised her puppies, and they were all eventually adopted into great homes when they were old enough.
After a few months of recovery and care, Java, along with her babies, found a loving forever home with a family who adores them. Java’s happy ending is a testament to the power of second chances and the importance of rescue efforts for animals in need.
