A Pit Bull puppy born without front paws was abandoned by her cruel owner who left her in a duffel bag on top of a garbage can in the woods. Fortunately, she was discovered by rescuers and taken to a veterinary clinic to receive medical attention.
After the rescue group contacted Emily, one of the volunteers asked her to hold the little pup, whom they named Freya, just for a moment. Freya seemed to feel relieved, and Emily knew that the puppy belonged in her arms.
Emily modified her home to be “Freya-friendly” for the puppy’s arrival. Soft surfaces were placed throughout the house for Freya to play on. At first, Freya’s paw nubs were sore, so Emily gave her a pair of socks, which was an adorable sight to see.
