Soner Büümez, a farm worker, became a hero when he responded to the desperate cries of a trapped animal near a recent landslide. What he found was a heart-wrenching scene: a stray dog buried in a collapsed hole, with only her head visible above the ground. Determined to rescue the distressed animal, Büümez and a colleague embarked on a challenging mission to dig her out, armed only with their bare hands and a small shovel.
However, as they freed the trapped dog, her anguished howls revealed that she wasn’t alone. Büümez and his colleague continued their search and soon discovered a tiny, dirt-covered body – a puppy. It was evident that the mother dog had been fiercely protecting her litter. The duo couldn’t leave without rescuing them all.
Over the course of two painstaking hours, Büümez and his colleague successfully dug out a total of eight puppies. Tragically, one of the puppies didn’t survive. But the mother dog was joyfully reunited with her seven healthy pups, thanks to the relentless efforts of these two compassionate individuals.
Büümez speculates that the mother dog had been attempting to create a secure home for her family when the landslide buried them. In light of Büümez’s benevolence, this dog family no longer needs to fend for themselves. He has welcomed them into his care, promising to treat them as his own.
“Their condition is generally very good. The mother and her puppies are safe,” Büümez stated. “I will take care of them as if they were my own.” This remarkable rescue story underscores the significance of compassion and lending a hand to those in need, whether they possess two legs or four.
