His longing eyes peered through a second-story window, silently crying out for someone to rescue him. That someone was Donna Lochmann, a compassionate dog rescuer from Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
A Savior Appears
When Donna arrived and entered the abandoned school, the dire conditions shocked her. Ollie had been living in filth, surrounded by debris and broken glass. He was on the brink of despair, but his demeanor was anything but aggressive. Donna cautiously approached him, unsure of his reaction, but Ollie’s response melted her heart. This gentle pit bull welcomed her with open paws, surrendering to her care and affection as if he had been waiting for her all along.
Not a Trace of Aggression
Donna’s experience with rescuing dogs prepared her for various situations, but Ollie’s complete lack of aggression was a pleasant surprise.
