Bo’s Heartbreaking Beginnings
When Street Dog Rescue found Bo in Oklahoma, he was in a terrible state. His previous owners had heartlessly abandoned him, leaving him alone in a doghouse. Neglect had taken a toll on his health; he had mange and had even been attacked by coyotes.
Faith, one of the rescuers, recalls Bo’s pitiful condition. He was starving and hadn’t had a proper meal in days. But what touched their hearts the most was Bo’s yearning for love and attention.
A Struggle to Rescue Bo
Getting Bo out of his doghouse proved challenging. He resisted, crawling under the structure when they tried to free him. It took the dedicated rescue team 45 minutes to finally coax him out.
Bo’s journey to happiness was set in motion. He received medical treatment for his mange and was given the nourishment he desperately needed at a veterinary clinic in Oklahoma.

Patricia, Bo’s new mom, discovered his story and was shocked by his initial appearance. His transformation over time was astounding. He went from a terribly neglected dog to a healthy and vibrant companion.
Although it took Bo some time to adjust to his new surroundings, Patricia’s patience and kindness made him realize he was finally safe and loved. Within six months, Bo embraced his forever home and became a happy, explorative dog.
Patricia reflects on their journey, saying, “I just love him, and I’m very happy I got him.”
