It’s hard for me to fathom how anyone could mistreat or abandon their dog, especially when I think of the deep bond I share with my own four-legged friend.
The mere thought of my dog feeling scared or alone is enough to churn my stomach. And the idea of leaving him behind? Unthinkable.
But not everyone shares that perspective, as one heartbreaking incident showed. A family was moving to a new home and discarded everything they no longer needed on their front lawn—along with their dog, Boo, a pit bull left abandoned among the trash.
