A tiny puppy was found all alone, hiding beneath a bench, by the D.A.R. Animal Rescue organization. Although people had walked by and posted photographs of the puppy on social media in hopes of getting assistance, no one had stopped to help her. The D.A.R. personnel went to assist the unfortunate puppy, who was so small and filthy with dirt on her coat that it was amazing she had been abandoned.

The rescuer wrapped the puppy in a blanket and placed her in the car to take her to the veterinarian. The vet removed ticks that had consumed part of her blood and treated her inflamed eyes. The poor little thing was also anemic from parasitic blood loss and malnourished. The rescuers worked around the clock to treat the little puppy, who was in terrible condition.

The puppy’s future appears much brighter now that she is safe and well-cared for. Although no one can know what the future holds, it is heartening to see the difference that can be made through compassion and care.

Fortunately, a post on social media caught the attention of Jamie Hult, who decided to adopt Lucky and provide him with the love and care he deserved. However, Lucky’s condition was dire due to years of mistreatment and neglect. He suffered from malnutrition, fleas, and worms and had never been microchipped. Jamie was determined to help Lucky and spent $8000 on treatment to save his life.

After nursing Lucky back to health, Jamie renamed him Beaux Tox and showered him with love and affection. Beaux Tox is now a carefree and affectionate dog who gets along with other animals, including kittens and baby skunks.
